Johanna from Germany was looking for the last but not least important furniture for their new-build home: an entryway shelf. A wall-mounted piece that serves as storage and a decoration element at the same time, adding a natural touch to the space.

Johanna’s idea was a shelf that has shallow depth but still comes with drawers - however, such design is rarely available in furniture stores. Also, she had a custom size requirement to create a long storage piece for the entryway wall surface. These requirements led her to us and we were happy to manufacture a custom size entryway shelf with three drawers, made of top-grade solid oak wood.
"We wanted a slim floating shelf for our entry hallway, but still some possibility to store sunglasses, keys etc. Many standard floating shelves are either too broad or do not offer drawers. Also, we did not want to cover floor space and prefer an elegant, light look."
The solid hardwood choice was also important to provide a perfect match to the similar oak solid wood floor. We use hand-sorted, top-grade material that has a smooth finish using only natural hard oil and beeswax.
